Reading your score and grade

Every scan starts at 100 points. Each critical or warning finding you can fix takes points off; info and passed checks do not.

  • Overall score: counts security, SEO, performance and hygiene findings. Security issues weigh the most (a critical security finding costs 18 points, a security warning 8).
  • Security score: the same idea, counting security findings only.
  • Grade: A from 90, B from 75, C from 60, D from 40, F below 40.

Findings that only your hosting platform can change (for example a header a site builder controls) are shown, marked as managed by the platform, and not counted in the score: see Managed by your platform.

A good grade means these checks passed at the time of the scan; it is not proof that a site has no problems. Fix critical findings first: each one has a plain explanation and a fix prompt.
